Plan Description
The RepairTech coverage works in one of two ways. The first way, which is
referred to as the RepairTech “Freedom” plan, would allow the customer to
personally bring their malfunctioning product to a local authorized repair
depot of their choice to repair their product. An estimate for the expense
of repairing the product will be faxed to the RepairTech call center. Once
the estimate is approved, RepairTech will pay directly to the repair
service center the cost of fixing the product.
The second way is the RepairTech “Nothing But Service” plan. The “NBS”
plan provides for a “Smart Box” to be sent to the customer to provide the
means to transport the defective product to a RepairTech authorized
service depot for repair. Once fixed, the unit will be delivered back to
the customer free of charge. The “NBS” plan is extremely popular due to
the fact that it removes any active responsibility of dealing with the
fixing of the item from the consumer. Customers are delighted by the
timing aspect of the process which enables them to be assured the product
will be fixed and in most cases be sent back to them within seven to ten
business days. Please keep in mind that the “Smart Box” is shipped to the
customer 2nd day delivery, the product is shipped to the RepairTech
authorized service depot 2nd day delivery, and finally, the fixed (i.e.
repaired) product is returned to the customer 2nd day delivery.
